Dunked the carbs and their parts into an ultrasonic cleaner borrowed from my buddy. 1:10 ratio of Krud Cutter to water. It worked shockingly well.

I picked one of those up a couple years ago for a carb rebuild on a CL100, and it worked pretty good. But I haven’t used it since then, due to its small capacity. Good thing it was on sale!

That’s how people are cleaning musical instruments these days. Used to be an acid bath. This is much friendlier to soft metals.

These are great. One thing though, if you used a cleaner is to give a quick coat fo wd40 or some other oil as the metal may start to oxidize.
